The base is not threaded, so the body of the shisha pipe is attached to the vase via a system of seals. The plunger also acts as a screw thread for the stem. This means you can play around with the plunger and push it up or down slightly to alter the draw.

This plunger has a non-screw diffuser. It is slightly different from other diffusers as it is grooved and not perforated, giving you a smooth draw with eddies: the perfect midpoint between a smooth and traditional draw.
