The Maklaud Mr. Deal shisha continues the house's gothic series, opened with the Mr. Mind model. The inspiration is stated openly: the verticality of gothic cathedrals, their slender towers, their arches and their spires reaching for the sky — Cologne Cathedral first among them. At the top of the stem, the bronze artistic element takes up that vocabulary of pinnacles and pointed arches in a swarm of chiselled detail, while a second decorative register wraps around the foot of the stem. At 63 cm tall, the object plays the monumental card without apology, on the scale of a table.

An artist's piece released in February 2025

Mr. Deal is a sculpture before it is a hookah, and its message is explicit: connecting the earthly to the sacred, material elevation to inner elevation. Sculptor Alexey Samolov designed it for the house's exclusive series, with a release on 18 February 2025. Where many high-end shishas bet on restraint, this one chooses narrative — and it holds its own in a carefully designed interior as much as in a lounge window.

Hidden purge and sculpted bronze tray

This is the technical signature of the series: purging happens through the artistic element. No add-on valve on the stem, no detail breaking the line — the air pushed out of the base escapes through the sculpture itself. The gesture stays the one every regular knows: a short blow into the mouthpiece to refresh the air between sequences and go back to clean flavours. A spare valve ball is included, the small part you always end up looking for at the wrong moment. Expert tip for preserving bronze and leather

Bronze and leather are not treated like stainless steel. Keep abrasive products, acidic detergents and long soaks away from the sculpted element, the tray and the mouthpiece: a soft, slightly damp cloth followed by immediate drying is enough after each session. Save the deeper cleaning for the stem and the downstem, rinsed with warm water and a soft brush. Submerge the downstem 2 to 3 cm in the water of the base for a smooth, effortless draw, purge regularly to keep the flavours clean, and always set the charcoal in the centre of the tray rather than against the chiselled motifs.
