Raas x Olla Bowl: where Quasar meets Italian craftsmanship

The Raas x Olla Bowl was born from the meeting of Quasar's expertise and Olla's Italian artisan know-how. This white clay phunnel bowl is thrown, glazed and fired in Florence in the Italian maiolica tradition. Every piece carries Olla's brushstroke: patterns, shades and slight variations make each bowl a one-off, a reflection of two complementary identities.

White clay designed for heat

Shaped in white clay, the Raas x Olla heats up quickly and evenly. The heat spreads uniformly through the molasses, for a rounded release of flavour and a steady draw from the start of the session to the end. Its phunnel shape, with a central spire, stops the juice running down the stem and keeps the molasses intact throughout the session.

Designed for Quasar Raas heat management systems

This bowl is compatible with the Quasar Raas, Quasar Raas 2 and Quasar Raas 2 Black Hole heat management systems. Its dimensions — 85 mm in diameter by 25 mm high — are calibrated to fit the Raas perfectly, with no aluminium foil. With a 22 g capacity, it is ideal for a session with a reasonable amount of molasses and precise heat control.

Four colourways named after Italy

The Raas x Olla Bowl is available in four hand-painted designs, each named after an iconic Italian place: Italia, Capri, Palermo and Sorrento. Each colourway is shown in the photos. Patterns and shades may vary slightly from one piece to the next: that is the signature of handcrafted production, not a flaw.

How to use it

Fill the bowl with molasses loosely, without packing it down and without going above the rim of the spire, then set the Quasar Raas heat management system directly on top. Let it heat for a few minutes before the first puffs. After the session, let the bowl cool down completely before washing it in lukewarm water; avoid thermal shock and abrasive sponges to protect the glaze.
