ENSŌ electronic shisha (2026 version): the charcoal-free hookah, updated

The ENSŌ is a portable electronic shisha that heats molasses with an electric heating element, inside a capsule, with no charcoal and no combustion. No lighting, no ash, no heat management: you fill the capsule, pick a temperature and the session starts. The 2026 version keeps the core of the device (zinc alloy body, glass tank, porcelain heating chamber, removable 5000 mAh battery) and upgrades the hose, the mouthpiece, the battery options and the consumables. El-Badia, shisha experts since 1991, stocks it along with its compatible capsules and accessories.

What changes with the 2026 version

The hose grows to 1.5 m, longer and wider than on the first version, for a smoother draw and more freedom of movement around the device. The 15 cm mouthpiece has been redesigned in magnetic stainless steel to soften the vapour; an optional mouthpiece extension cools it down even further. The removable 5000 mAh battery is still included, and the device is now compatible with the Battery Plus, a battery sold separately that extends run time and shortens charging. The ThermoCap is now made of glass, which makes it easier to clean. Finally, the consumables are clearly split: disposable capsules for hygiene and instant flavour changes, reusable ceramic cups for regular sessions, both available separately on el-badia.com.

Adjustable heat from 180 to 330 °C, with no combustion

The temperature dial (Thermodial) adjusts from 180 to 330 °C in 5 °C steps. At low temperatures the vapour stays smooth and the flavours of the molasses are preserved; go higher and the clouds get denser. Each capsule holds 15 to 25 g of molasses and the tank takes 0.2 L of water. Heating happens in a porcelain chamber, with no flame and no charcoal, so the device can be used indoors without any burning smell.

Removable 5000 mAh battery, USB-C charging, Battery Plus compatible

The 5000 mAh battery slides out of the device and charges via USB-C. Rated run time is around 2 hours, depending on the temperature you choose and how hard you draw. The removable format lets you keep a charged battery within reach so you can carry on without waiting for the charge to finish. To go further, the 2026 version accepts the Battery Plus, sold separately, which stretches sessions and charges faster.

Materials and format

The body is zinc alloy, the tank is glass, the heating chamber and cups are porcelain, and the mouthpiece is stainless steel. The whole unit measures 33 × 12 cm, weighs 2.55 kg and carries easily thanks to its strap. A compact format that sits on a coffee table, a desk or a lounge counter.

Disposable capsules or ceramic cups

The box includes 10 disposable capsules and 2 ceramic cups. Disposable capsules mean no cleaning between two molasses and no mixing of flavours; they can be rinsed and reused a few times before being recycled.
